A Jericho Fan Fiction Archive
i am not a writer but i love to read, and drink wine.i am really addicted to sandra dees stories, and i would like to be able to comment on them here.
thank you matty
i am addicted to this story. the characters you write are amazing, i can almost put my hand out and touch them. i am glad that jake is finally seeing that being in love should bring you peace and happiness, not be a constant sparing match like he had with emily. i really enjoyed how you had jake and heather letting each other know some of the feelings that they have for each other. what are those siblings from new bern up to ? will hamilton and ted be safe? too many questions. i am an addict that needs her fix! please give us more.
Thank you so much, Mattyraincloud! I think I'm blushing a bit! It was definitely time for Jake to put his relationship with Emily out of its misery. Love doesn't have to be a battlefield, contrary to what Pat Benetar might say. :) The New Bern siblings are up to no good, and I think you'll see more of that as the story unfolds over the next few chapters, along with answers to your other questions. Thank you again for your encouragement. :)
thank you for giving us more of this story. just when i was thinking that emily could not get any more bitchy and self centered she proved me wrong. i would like to beat the crap out of her! kenchy was just adorable in this chapter. i never really liked maggie but you made me feel sorry for her in a way. i am so very happy to see jake and heather finally getting on the right track, i just hope nothing derails them. i hope they can have a nice day at the ranch. PLEASE give us more soon. thank you matty
Thank you so much for the review, Matty! Yes, Emily, is not really seeing the big picture right now. She is still absolutely stunned over the breakup, and as a result, is doing things--like divulging information to a stranger--that she would not typically do. But, yes, her behavior was appalling.
I had fun writing Kenchy. Looking back on the episodes from season 1, in particular, he was a fascinating character to me because he offered an outsider's perspective.
Maggie was not a favorite character of mine, either, but one of the things that fascinated me about her was her situation. Unlike so many others that we've met in the Jericho universe, she has no place and no one. That would be tough in the Jericho world.
As for Jake and Heather, they're definitely about to get some time together, though maybe not in the way you're thinking. There are some nice moments coming up for them in the next part, though. Promise. :)
Thank you again for the feedback. I always love knowing what you think. :)
thank you for giving us more of this story. maggie lied, any kiss from jake is good! i almost fell off my chair when eric said jake looks like billy loomis in scream. please, please do not make all of us wait too long for more of this story. thank you matty
In the aftermath of their kiss on Main Street, Jake and Heather discover that artificial mistletoe can be quite potent.
thank you for the lovely christmas present. jake telling heather that she scares him and her reply was just perfect. i hope santa was good to you, as you have been so very kind in sharing your stories with all of us.
i hope you have a GREAT new year! thank you matty
Mattyraincloud, you are always so sweet to me in your reviews and make me feel like a million bucks! Thank you for the lovely comments. Happy (late) New Year to you, too!
She wanted answers. He wanted revenge.
i enjoyed this story very much. i have always seen jonah as a very interesting and complex man. not bad on the eyes either! i think collie may see more than just a story in him also. i ALMOST felt bad about emilys death, but i got over it pretty fast. i know that i have told you many times before how real you make the characters seem to me, but this time i wanted a cigarette, really wanted one and i have not smoked in years. thank you matty
Happiness was finally within their grasp. Expanded version of the story added.
this story was fluffy, funny, romantic and very HOT! my favorite part was "don't forget naked, winged babies with bows and arrows" too funny. i will never look at a cupid the same way again. thank you so much for giving us all another great story. matty
Awww...thank you, Matty! I am so glad you enjoyed it. It was fun to write a fluffy story and essentially fast-forward to how things could eventually be. Ha! Look out for the winged babies with bows and arrows. :)
They were going nowhere...
i enjoyed this story very much. i have always felt that jake and emily had been going nowhere even before he left town the first time. emily does not know how to love herself much less anyone else. given her family and childhood i think i can almost understand why she is the way she is. but jake or no one else should have to put up with it. i am very glad that he is finally seeing that he is a different man, not a scew up any more. he is free to walk somewhere now, hopfully to heather. thank you for sharing this story with all of us. matty
Thank you for your review, Matty! I greatly appreciate it. :)
Emily definitely carries quite a set of difficulties with her. She is the "tragic heroine" of the show, but I didn't find her particularly sympathetic, though I think the writers wanted me to. My biggest problem with her character is her use of emotional blackmail. I don't even think it was particularly a conscious effort on her part; it was probably what she had learned from her upbringing. We saw her emotionally blackmail Roger before he left on the plane for Chicago, and we saw her do the same to Jake more than once on the show. And the writers wanted us to root for Jake and Emily? Pfft.
Yes, Jake is definitely free to walk somewhere now. You and I think alike when it comes to his direction. :)
Thank you again for taking the time to read the story and leave such a lovely and detailed review.
On Thanksgiving Eve, two old friends reconnect and discover they have much to be thankful for--namely, each other.
thank you for this lovely story. i love how you show us the love and bond that gail and jake share. jake being concerned over some guy hitting on his mom is just too cute. you have a unique gift for giving real life to all of the jericho characters. your stories are really addictive! thank you matty
Thank you for your review, Matty. I sure do appreciate you! I always enjoy reading your thoughts. :)
A few Christmases after the bombs, they take time out of the evening to wait for an old friend.
